Are you looking for a perfect base? Try using Pixistar. Pixistar is a doll base search site, where you can find any type of base easily.  Make sure that you read the rules for each base carefully, when you use one. The bases are made by many different dollers or pixel artists. Each base may have different rules for how to use it. Please respect the basemaker's rules. You can search for bases by size, gender or poses. It is the most extended base site online.

If you want to share your own bases, you can register and account and upload your bases with your own rules and terms of use. Registering is easy and allows you to also leave comments on people's bases. So you don't have to be a basemaker to register and account.

Besides bases, you can also find pixel props on Pixistar. You can use props to complete your dolls. Props are usually lineart pixels that you can colour yourself.

Pixistar was created in 2009 by Erin, also known as Strawberry1. Her goal was to create a permanent warehouse full of bases for people to find, even after a site goes down and a doller disappears. On Pixistar the bases are saved and proper credit can be given by linking to the doller's profile. It makes it easier to use older bases from dollers that are no longer part of the community.

A registered user of Pixistar can redirect people to their site for credit. By using the credit code Pixistar provides for every base, the user can easily add a credit link to their pixel doll. For example, the pixistar code for Erin's base would be: Base is Rinbu by erin. This link should take you directly to Erin's site.  If Erin ever changes her web-adress (URL) she can edit her Pixistar profile, and the same credit link will automatically forward to her new site.

There are a lot of well-known dollers that have added their bases to Pixistar. Mariiii from MDH has some of her bases on her profile. Pyrochan, Caelest and Ninique are a few names. You can find about 700 pixel doll artists at Pixistar. You can also search for poses, gender, body type and more, to find the perfect base for your next doll.
